Outreach

Queen's 3MT Thesis finalist
Growing up I was inspired by hearing science and space talks by astronomers like Carl Sagan and Neil deGrasse Tyson. I wholeheartedly believe that as a scientist we should take the initiative of spreading the joy of doing science with everyone. This not only inspires the upcoming generation but also gives a clear vision to many kids who do not have access to good information.

Hence, I am on a mission to spread the joy of astronomy to as many people as I possibly can. I am an active volunteer at the Queen’s Observatory open house, Kingston Science Rendezvous, and an online content creator making Youtube videos on physics and astronomy.

I am an active volunteer at the Queen’s Observatory. The observatory runs an open house every third Saturday of the month where we hold lectures, observing sessions, and general interaction with the public for astronomy outreach! This a great opportunity to share my passion for astronomy with the general audience and hopefully spark some curiosity.
I volunteered as an official Queen’s Eclipse ambassador for the 2024 total solar eclipse! Kingston was under the path of totality and I got to work with the city of Kingston for the downtown market square to make sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable viewing experience.
